Marek P. Deszczyński – PhD with habilitation, historian, associated professor, Institute of History and Polemology, War Studies University, Warsaw. He focuses his researches on the modern history, military history, history of economy, of diplomatic relation and culture in the history of Poland and the general history of the first half of the 20th century. He published i.a. the following monographs: Ostatni egzamin. Wojsko Polskie wobec kryzysu czechosłowackiego 1938–1939 (Warszawa 2003); Na krawędzi ryzyka.
