Piotr Kochanek – dr hab., Head of the Department of Ancient and Byzantine History at the Institute of History at the Faculty of Humanities of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. His main research interests are geography and ancient and medieval cartography. The scope of the above research field also includes issues related to architecture and urban planning of that period, as well as, to a much lesser extent, issues related to medieval Latin paleography.
